SUMMER LUNCH & AGM

Where: Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion,  Upper Hall (Elevator Available) at 1070 Tillicum Road, Esquimalt
Gourmet Lunch: Includes gourmet sandwiches, salad, dessert & beverages
Time: Doors open at 12:30 p.m.  Lunch starts at 1pm
Cost: $25 per person for Branch members and non-members
Ticket Purchase:

  • Before June 10th, by e-transfer to payments1200@bcgrea.ca
    Include your phone number in the e-transfer.
  • In person on June 3rd, 2:30 to 3:30pm, Tillicum Mall Lower Level – outside A&W
    (George Bowden, Treasurer, in orange jacket, is selling tickets). Pay by cash or
    cheque only.
  • In person on June 5th, 2:30 to 3:30pm at Hillside Mall outside Subway. (Sarf
    Ahmed, Chair, is selling tickets) Pay by cash or cheque only.

You will get an e-ticket if you pay by e-transfer and a paper ticket if you pay in person.
Your ticket confirms your registration for the lunch.

Note: We are moving the AGM to Spring to follow our fiscal year end, which is now December 31st.  We’ll report out on 2025 finances at this meeting.

Volunteer on Executive

Victoria Branch 1200 welcomes new members to its Executive Board. This year we are seeking people who are interested in various positions including treasurer, program coordinator and organizers for social and members’ welfare activities.

Executive members organize events or workshops for Branch 1200 members. We also host speakers to talk about matters of interest to our members. We maintain a webpage, publish a newsletter twice a year, contribute to the provincial PEN, work on recruiting and retaining new members and ensure that our finances are well-managed in accordance with BCGREA guidelines. The Chair represents the Branch on the provincial Board and other members also participate on various provincial committees. The Executive meets 4-6 times per year, either in person or by zoom. Although times vary, generally members will spend up to 10 hours per month on Branch activities.
